I had the cast iron roasted half chicken for dinner. Very tasty and excellent service. Nice ambiance and good location in midtown Manhattan.

Delicious food, interesting menu, delicious cocktails. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. I had to change tables when I was joined by two people. Shrimp Cocktail had lovely, firm, large shrimp, and the Caesar Salad was one of the best I've had anywhere. Delicious Manhattan.

To start, we were seated in an area that was cold. I asked to move to the other side of the restaurant away from the windows and they immediately obliged and were very graceful and nice about it. This was very telling to me. Our waiter was also super nice and smiley, and the food was great. I got the endive salad which was wonderful; the table bread was perfect; and the fries my boyfriend had were amazing. Come on in!

We wanted to take the family for dinner to a restaurant near our hotel (Fifty NYC)... the Concierge recommended The National NYC, located in The Benjamin. Found out that it’s chef is Geoffrey Zakarian, of Iron Chef fame. As we entered, we noticed an active bar scene. We were promptly seated in a quiet area. Throughout the evening, we received excellent service from the staff. Every dish was impeccably presented and delicious.

We came to The National Bar & Dining Rooms for a late lunch on a Saturday and we were surprised there was no line! I ordered the steak biscuit and my friend ordered the chicken biscuit, which were both delicious! The steak was a bit on the drier end, so I preferred the chicken instead. Otherwise the biscuit and gravy were delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive!
